Hello everyone! I have some absolutely fantastic news, however it is laced with some bad.
I am, in the near future, getting my very own house! I'm so excited! I'm finally moving out of my parents home and into my own, lovely, sizable house! My boyfriend and I are very happy to announce this new step in our life. :) Its such a cute, quaint home right down the road so I can still take care and play with my horses when needed. I've already purchased some furniture, we have some guys on call when we get to redoing the bathroom, and I've even started to collect some left over paint from my current room and such. Even better, my aunt whom works with a hospital is getting me a full time receptionist job to pay for it all! My boyfriend even has his foot in the door in some places to get his own part of the money covered!
This is all fantastic right? Oh yes! Just every single bit of it! Then what's the bad part, right?
Here it goes.
On top of my new full time job and the house I will also be attending part-time to full time classes. I'm sure most of you are doing the math, and that equals up to more than the possible time allotted in a day. You know what that mean now, don'tcha? I won't have nearly enough time to devote to adminly duties. I may be able to write some posts now and again, but there is no way that I could create new layouts, manip a header in a timely fashion, or possibly run long extensive requirements. It's a very sad fact, and it is extremely disheartening.
So, I have several options here.
Firstly, I can close Aeon. I obviously don't want to do that. I've had to do it before, and its just... its heart wrenching. Given, Aeon hasn't been around nearly as long as my other site was, but still.
Secondly, I can find someone who can take over Aeon for me. I would still want to be in on all of the big decisions. Of course.
But, there you have it. This is one of the biggest decisions on my head right now. I just had to write it down and let everyone know before something crazy happened.

I just wanna say, first of all, congratulations on the house and job! I'm totally excited for you Tehs! Second, my opinion: since so many people love Aeon and are active and addicted in love with everyone here, I vote that you put someone else in charge. The Moderating team is still here to help out when needed, maybe one of the older/more able mods should take over? I'm always here and I would love to help out the new Admin in any way possible. Of course, you'd still be a huge part of Aeon, since you are it's wonderful creator and master, and I think your legacy should live on. This is the only place I can come to get away from stress, and I'm sure many others agree. Anyways, just my thoughts on the issue!

As far as Aeon goes, naturally I'd hate to see it close, when we've all invested so much into this site and it still has so much promise to grow. I will certainly do all I can to help it stay open, and while I can't code Proboards layouts I can certainly keep up with all the daily housekeeping duties that I'm currently in charge of as mod. We'll definitely miss having you around as much as before, but as long as you can stick around to roleplay and be admin-ly I think that would be the best scenario here! Nancy is absolutely right in that you'd still be a big part of things here, and I think we can manage even with your busy schedule. C: |

oh my goodness, your own home! Congrats Soupi, that's wonderful! Since I'm on my phone, Ill make this short and sweet. I vote no on closing Aeon, but we should continue to support your decision as much as possible. I hope we can discuss this as a group and take a vote as quickly as possible.

I think majority is going to rule that we keep Aeon open, I already had to say goodbye to WT, don't make me say goodbye to Aeon too! Aeon is still growing too, and I know our staff will do an amazing job of maintaining Aeon in your absence. You'll always be a part of it, of course!
And major congrats on the house! That's so exciting!

I'm so glad to hear about all the support guys! Thank you sooooooo much! I figured that the no one would want Aeon to close. x) Haha. Also, a special thanks to everyone who's offered to help. It really does mean a lot.
