Well I really don't know what to put here...So uh, my username is my real name, so feel free to use it. Or use a nickname for me, whatever floats your boat! I've been roleplaying for about 9+ years now. I started roleplaying on Neopets eons ago and have loved it since. I own a handsome sorrel paint who I call Seth. I draw in my free time and I mostly use MS Paint since that's all I have. I'm currently a Senior in college - my major is in Criminal Justice.

[/i] Astor is tall, hairy, and bulky. In a sense, you would not feel safe seeing him in a dark alley somewhere. Or maybe you would, who knows? With the mixing of draft blood, Astor has wide shoulders and a wide hindquarters. His legs are thick, though unrefined, and are the powerhouses behind his strength. His neck is short, and if his lion-like mane did not exist, one would see it too, is thick like the rest of his body. He has a slight Roman nose, though it's not too terribly convex to be ugly. [/li][li] Body, Mane/Tail, & Eye color(s):[/i] Astor's body and eye colors seem to be the only relatively "normal" things about him. His eyes are a vibrant blue and stand out against his earth-toned body. His coat is a chestnut color, while his mane and tail are two shades of chestnut/brown. A stripe of dark brown runs through the top part of his mane, down his back, and bleeds into his tail. He has two white stockings on the front legs, with dark brown lining down the back of all four hocks before "bleeding" into his feathering. Astor has a white muzzle, chin, and lower jaw, as well as a dark brown half mask across his eyes. Personality: INFJ based:- Astor is definitely not the definition of "warm and fuzzy". While not totally barbaric, he is definitely not the image of refined. He has some gentlemanly traits, of what he can remember from his mother's teachings, though such a characteristic tends to be smothered underneath his gruff exterior. He'd rather not show any sign of weakness and have it exploited.
- He acts more on primal instinct than actual intelligence some times due to fending for himself for a long period of time. Astor has a short temper and tends to be aggressive on a day-to-day basis, but worse when agitated. During a fit of pure anger, he is quite fearsome and proves himself to be a formidable warrior.
- Eventually he'll come around to being more sociable, but that will take lots of time and patience if someone decides to stick around. Being kind is not entirely out of the question for Astor; he does have a heart underneath all that hair, but it has been hardened with time and cruel words.
- Once upon a time he was very loving, but came to realize he was better off scaring everyone away after the premature death of his mother. Like his kindness, can eventually change with lots of TLC.
- Astor is a complex creature. He prefers solace and isolation, though occasionally goes out of his way to help others. These instances are rare, unless something of great value is being offered to him in return for his services. He's not above self-interest, but on a rare occasion he will do things due to a deep-rooted altruistic nature. If confronted with an accusation of this part of his nature, he will vehemently deny it. He prefers not to claim good deeds, believing they are more fulfilling if they remain out of the spotlight.
- Much like his element, Astor is initially icy and hard to crack when first approached. He'd rather drive you away with bitterness and bile than risk letting you get too close. This is mostly a defense mechanism that he has retained from his youth and (mostly) cannot be helped. His mistrusts everyone and their intentions, until proven otherwise.
- Astor tends to be stubborn and unyielding - he trusts his own instincts over the instincts and/or the opinions of others. He'd rather follow his own gut than yours, thank you very little. Takes a lot to change his mind of something, but can be done with the right argument
or bribery.
- Despite his general anti-social behavior, Astor is quite empathetic to others' feelings and emotions. He tries to remain unaffected, but sometimes just can't help himself. Such instances can cause a bizarre moment of anger or rare moment of genuine kindness. This aspect of his personality is the most conflicting; he constantly feels at war with himself for being in-tuned to the feelings of others when he wants nothing to do with them most of the time. He doesn't understand why he is like this and why it won't just go away, which frustrates him.

His mother, a pretty mare who was chestnut like he, held nothing but undying love and devotion for her only child despite the stubs that protruded from his forehead and weird markings. His strange appearance made the others in their small family gathering shun him, since they were all "normal". Aimee remained unaffected by her family's scorn. It was only when the whispers of where Astor's father was and what happened started to surface did Aimee finally crack. The others spoke of how Astor's father, a mighty warrior in his own right, had been trapped into the pairing by manipulation to Aimee's part. Others said his father had turned tail and ran after Aimee grew heavy with foal, having never intended to stay around. Worst of all, the idea that Astor's father fled in horror upon seeing his son was the most supported idea. Aimee could see what the vicious tales were doing to her son and withdrew from their small family herd without a single glance back.
- Youth: Some time afterwards, Astor's horns began to grow in. Aimee remained unaffected, but other loners they came across were not the same. Astor was subjected to ridicule from strangers, to the point where he often tried to run away. Aimee, losing grip on her own sanity from the force isolation and general ridicule, further drove her and her son into hiding. While his mother was unstable, she was still a loving and attentive mare whose affection is still fondly remembered to this day. Shortly after his second year of life, Aimee was brutally killed before Astor's eyes. The exact memory of her death is fuzzy and probably blocked out due to post traumatic stress. All he can clearly remember is seeing red everywhere; on the grass, the rocks, and even himself. The loss of his mother heralded the loss of his innocence and generally happy nature. He withdrew deep within himself, running blind from the deathbed of his mother until he fell from exhaustion.
- Adulthood: It took a long time for Astor to partially recover from his mother's death, though it's possible he never entirely did. He hid within the most remote places in Aeon, though occasionally would come out of hiding. These adventures into the more populated parts of Aeon were out of curiosity to see the world he had been denied. However, cruel words and even altercations often would drive him back into hiding and leave him confused. All he wanted was to be accepted and integrated into the herd he'd never had, which was the basic instinct that drove him to emerge from hiding. Why did they keep denying him? Why did they ridicule him for looking so different? Did they not want him, because he was so different and unique? These thoughts plagued him as he continued to grow and mature, and the continual abuse from others made him a bitter, gruff stallion to deal with. It was a vicious cycle from there; his bitterness and aggressive nature drove those he wanted to be around away, while others abused and chased him away, further cementing his anti-social behavior. He remained in hiding for months after one particular incident, which involved an unfortunate stallion getting gored by one of his horns. It has only been in recent times he has dared to re-emerge, hoping to find whatever his instincts are telling him to reach for.

Her build is slightly thicker than her willowy ancestors, though is still sinuous and holds a catlike grace all its own. Solis's mother had crossed the rift on accident one day from Egypt, speaking a language no one could understand when she was found. She was taken as a slave by Emil, the head of the small family herd that found Keket. Emil, not knowing her name, gave her the name of "Diana Flore" to help blend her into his family. Despite not understanding her, Emil held her in high regard despite her low status in his herd. He found her looks simple, but beautiful, for she stood out in contrast to the highly marked mares of his herd. Soon enough she was carrying Emil's child and gave birth to Solis in due time; Emil considered Solis his favorite. This did not sit well with his other mares, considering Solis was the child of a slave. She was only slightly better than her mother, who they considered a waste of life and of no importance.
- Youth: Hostilities between the other mares and Solis's mother continued to rise as Solis aged. Emil was not subtle in his favoritism in Solis; there was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was training her to take over his place one day. Though ostracized from the majority of the herd, Solis never lacked affection from her parents. She grew up relatively happily, despite having little contact with others. There were a rare few herd foals who would keep her company, though most did not stay around long when their mothers' discovered what was going on. Despite such, Solis remained rather sociable and kind. When met with venom ad sharp words, Solis remained neutral and apathetic. The strategy didn't work at first, but eventually the aging mares let go of the grudge - at least their grudge on Solis. They never let go of their hatred for Solis's mother.
- Adulthood: Eventually hatred led to a bloodbath. Unable to bear the obvious favoritism any longer, a few of Emil's mares conspired together and drove Keket away from the herd early one morning. They drove her until her legs, now weakened with age and fatigue, gave out from underneath her. It was there they beat her to death, despite her pleas in broken English to spare her, if not for Solis than for Emil. The three mares spared no mercy, finishing the deed and slinking back to the herd by the time everyone was stirring. No one was the wiser, except for Emil and Solis. Emil sent out scouts to find her, thinking that perhaps Keket had wandered off and forgotten where she was due to her old age. One scout returned hurriedly, bearing the ill-fated news. Solis was never told what happened to her mother; only given the barest of details and told she had died early that morning. Emil was never the same and swiftly sought justice for the death of Keket. The mares were never heard from again, and everyone assumed the worst. Shortly after this a terrible storm drove the herd to disband to seek safety. Emil ran with Solis, but eventually his heart gave out due to his own age and from grief. Since then, Solis has remained on her own.

On top of being strong-boned, Alyse is considerably thick, though not enough to be unpleasant to the eye. Her frame is heavy with toned musculature that give her a strange grace of her own variety, even though she is far from feminine in the conventional sense of the word. Despite her lack of femininity, Alyse's movements are fluid and she moves with a strange swagger that is typically seen with stallions. It is not uncommon for Alyse to be mistake for a stallion on some occasions. While her mother coddled her, her father often pushed her around and treated her like the son he had originally wanted. Because of such, Alyse was often conflicted as a foal on how to act and behave around adults and foals alike. She eventually grew more comfortable with behaving more like the colt her father had desired, despite the fact such behavior was unwanted in a filly. Her mother tried to teach her otherwise, but came to accept her tomboyish daughter when it was clear Alyse was never going to change.
- Youth: When Alyse was two, her younger brother was born. In comparison to herself, Tavish looked more like their father - chestnut like their father, with white markings similar to the older stallion. It was soon after Tavish's birth that their father left their mother. After nearly a year of constant fighting, partially over how he treated Alyse, but mostly over the fact he wasn't entirely faithful to Gillian, Malcolm awoke one morning and left his slumbering family without a word. Alyse and Tavish were too young to understand at the time, so their father's disappearance affected their mother the most, and eventually led to them separating from the Loxacin herd. Despite such, Gillian gathered herself up as best as she could to raise her children to the best of her abilities. She often employed Alyse to help with Tavish, which was never a problem. Alyse helped make her younger brother into a "man", so to speak, by play fighting and teaching him how to be a proper stallion; much like their father would have done, if he hadn't left them.
- Adulthood: When Alyse was four, and Tavish was nearly three, their easy life as a small family group came unraveled quickly. The trio was attacked in the middle by a young and half-staved Fenris wolf. Gillian put up a hard fight to protect her children despite her advanced age, but was severely wounded in the fight. Unable to stand by and watch his mother die, the young colt jumped into the fray and was quickly taken down. Desperate to save her brother, Alyse quickly followed him but was ultimately too late. She chased off the young, but injured, wold just in time for Tavish to die at their mother's hooves. Knowing her own end was imminent, Gillian pleaded with Alyse to leave her and to seek safety within a herd - something Alyse had never considered in her short lifetime. Driven away by her own mother, Alyse has wandered the landscape of Aeon since that night, unable to settle down entirely due to being haunted by nightmares.

Instead of relying solely on brute strength, Ursa is more agile and nimble. Being agile and graceful allows her to be quick on her feet. Ursa is built for endurance, with her long lean legs and lithe, athletic body. Her head is slightly dished in a subtle manner. These spots are not spots in actuality; they are diamonds embedded into her skin of varying sizes that, when they catch any light, sparkle like the stars in the sky. These diamonds complete the "milky way" effect the markings on her coats invoke to any passerby. There are horns protruding from Ursa's head that oddly resemble a crown; two horns from each cheek bone, the first horn being smaller than the second. These horns curve slightly upward, towards the center horn that protrudes from her forehead and sweeps gently backward, instead of spiraling out. Her horns appear delicate and more for decoration than for fighting, though one would be surprised when that is not entirely the case. What she does remember is that her father was her only sole parent; her mother, who remained nameless, died after giving birth to her. Either out of a lack of any feelings for Ursa's mother or to save Ursa from the loss, Titus never indulged the name of her birth mother to her and took it to his grave. Titus was elderly at her birth, well past his prime of parenthood, but did everything within his power to ensure Ursa lived. He taught her how to survive off the land, if she was to remain a rogue for the rest of her life. Titus tried his hardest to teach her how to keep a lid on her temper, though never had a chance to see the ability fully grow.
- Adulthood: As Titus' strength finally waned and as his life drew to a close, the roles switched on the duo. Ursa began taking care of her father, rather than the other way around. Ursa often negotiated with the nomadic herds they ran into on their travels, learning how to successfully negotiate agreements and benefits for both herself and her father. This became a common theme for the duo - Ursa negotiating the the head of family for asylum for her dying father, to help ease his pain during his last days. Of course, other things were negotiated at these meetings that Titus remained unaware about. He was never aware of his youthful child's ambitions for the world. The last herd Ursa and Titus were associated with was also their last. Titus fell gravely ill during the last winter. Ursa remained at his side until he passed with the change of the seasons, though did not stay long to mourn. She moved on from his deathbed, determined to finally see the world her father had been shielding her from.

Appearance:- General build: Charlotte is a leggy, tall thing to behold when you set her eyes upon her. She is more streamline than her athletic mother, with a more regal bearing. Her head is delicately designed to be definitively feminine, with large soulful eyes, proportionally designed ears, and a delicately small muzzle. Her legs are long, but wrapped in solid muscle. Charlotte is far from a soft creature, being draped with muscles on top of a fairly sleek bone structure. While is is built to be quite a beautiful creature to lay your eyes upon, there is no doubt that she could easily defend herself if the need arises. She is nothing short of a balance between grace and athleticism.
- Body/Mane & Tail, Eye colors: Charlotte's main body color is a shimmer, bright gold champagne like her mother's own coat. It never appears dirty, and shimmers in the sun. On top of her base color of golden champagne are splashes of white and violet, with slashes and swirls of black. Charlotte is definitely an interesting mix of elegance and tribal; while her body markings scream a more tribal base, delicate swirls of silver bring in touches of elegance. There are also silver swirls on the outsides of her wings. Her face is the same violet shade as her body markings, outlined in black along the bridge of her nose that runs down to her muzzle. Black slashes out from the corners of her eyes, similar to a dramatic line of eyeliner. Her eyes are a stunning shade of molten gold, as if the precious metal was melted into her eyes. Appearance:- General build: Mako is of slightly above average height, with long legs, a wide chest, and strong, well rounded hindquarters to match. His body is not overly bulky, but neither is it willowy. He is sleek and athletic, blanketed with well toned muscle despite the time spent in hibernation. He greatly resembles a big cat with fluid, graceful movements despite his muscular frame. His head is proportionate to his body, with large eyes and expressive features. His ears are well defined, and slightly curved inward, like those of an Arabian's.
- Mane/Tail, Body, Eye colors: His main body color is a bright shade of bronze chestnut, with highlights of red and gold in the sun. His body is splashed in white; two knee high stockings on the front legs, a coronet on the right back, and a tall stocking that reaches the gaskin on the left back. He has a small patch of white above the tall left back stocking. Mako also has two small patches of white on his right side, one of which is in the shape of cello, and has a few birdcatcher spots on the right side of his neck. He has two small patches of white on his left side, one of which is in the shape of a saxophone. Also has a patch of white on the left side of his neck in the shape of a guitar. His eyes are a vivid shade of blue; a darker shade of blue outlines the pupil, before fading into a sky blue at the edges of the iris. His mane and tail are predominantly bright flaxen, with streaks of white and the same bronze chestnut of his body.
- Special features: Mako has wings, mostly colored like his body, but with white tipped ends. The ends of his wings also are striped in a manner similar to that of a falcon. Mako has a long horn protruding from his forehead, but it is twisted and knotted, thus not very pretty to look upon. His long mane is braided from the middle to the end in one thick braid, and is held together by a small golden clasp. Mako can also make "bird songs", much like tropical birds. These songs are alluring, soothing, and mimic birds he has come across in his lifetime.

Personality: Mako is an easygoing and friendly stallion. He's boisterous, generally friendly, and loves to crack jokes. He does not have enemies, unless given a good reason to dislike someone. With that said, it is generally a difficult task to anger Mako into action unless he perceives the slight so horrible that it cannot be ignored. He believes that anything that is to be his needs to be earned, and will refuse handouts. Good-humored, he tries to make others around him laugh with his jokes, which can be rather dry. He is kind to those that he finds worthy, though his disdain is clear towards those that he does not. He is very protective of those that are close to him, and frequently over those who are not. He can remember being born during the hot, humid months a very long time ago, when Aeon was not nearly as populous as it currently is. His mother and father were just two traveling horses who had happened to cross paths, had a midnight tumble, and then carried about their business the next day. However, some months later Aki came across Ryuu once more, and the stallion noticed she was heavy with child. The only logical answer was that the child was his, which made him overjoyed for he had once been told by a healer that it would be very difficult for him to have children. Feeling an overwhelming desire to protect not only his unborn child, but also the mare that carried him, Ryuu convinced Aki to let him stay with her. Eventually, the two fell in love – in a backwards sense. Despite how backwards their relationship was, Mako never once doubted how strongly his parents cared for each other.
Never did his parents once consider settling with a clan, or even a marauding family herd. They were more than content to live on their own with their son. He was taught the old ways; how to survive off the earth without the need of a clan, to travel safely, how to predict the weather, and so on. Never did Mako feel the need to question his parents about why they were always alone, for they often ran into other nomadic family bands. They would socialize for half a season before moving on, usually to find better grounds to live upon for the upcoming season. Through this, Mako was exposed to the varying cultures brought to Aeon, which only fed his curiosity over the nature of the other equines. He knew that not all of them came from Aeon, but the question remained – where did they come from? Whenever he could, he would always question a previous Earth-walker. He wanted to learn all he could from them, for their world seemed so strange and chaotic. Aki and Ryuu encouraged his learning habits, always telling him there was never any harm in knowledge.
Mako was a young, hot blooded stallion when he became a father. It was on accident, but Mako took up responsibility where it was due. He had had a son with a mare named Dolie, and their son was named Haru. Despite Mako’s naïve outlook on the world, he tried his hardest to be the best father one could ask for. His own parents tried to help, knowing their son was young and clueless. Dolie passed quickly after Haru’s death, most likely due to complications that were unknown to many at the time. It was the first hardship of many to follow in Mako’s life. Soon afterwards, Mako’s parents followed Dolie in death - old age and cold weather soon stole them. By the time Mako was four, and his son old enough to feed off the earth, things were not boding well with the family band they had integrated into. By the end of that summer in particular, a bad storm struck. Lightning set fire to the trees in the forest they were calling home, which set ablaze everything in sight. Driven mad by fear, Mako tried to keep Haru safe as best as he could, but the stampede separated the father from his son. Mako found his son after the fire died out, but it was entirely too late; Haru had been driven into the flames by the stampede and died from his burns. His grief triggered a reaction he wouldn’t understand for centuries after the fact, until he was reawakened. Due to his overwhelming grief, the magic that had stayed dormant in his blood flared to life, transforming Mako into a grand buttress tree in the middle of the charred remains of the forest. As time passed, Mako’s tree helped aid new life to form in the scarred remains of the forest, masking his hideaway from the outside world until centuries later.
Mako was awoken by accident, that much he can say for certain. A young, lost filly stumbled upon the great tree that Mako slumbered in, leaning against the tree to rest. Something in the touch triggered Mako into reawakening, coming back to life in a time where the balance in politics is precarious and the Gods are beginning to reemerge. After assuring the filly’s safety, Mako stumbled around for months, trying to understand what happened to him. After much reflection, and talks with any elder he could find, it was generally agreed upon that Mako had somehow “slept” through centuries of time, only to be awaken out of need. Since then, Mako had traveled around Aeon, collecting any knowledge he has yet to learn and assisting those who need his wisdom or aid.
