The Familiar Battleground is run by an old ivory minotaur by the name of Herzog. Here, he spins magic and can conjure up your perfect familiar counterpart. It could be anything (within reason, that is)! A white lion, a pink ferret, or perhaps an old average bullfrog suits your fancy. Whatever your choice may be, Herzog will provide you with your trial of acquirement. Whether you pass or not is all your own.
To apply for a familiar, please fill out the following form, and then roleplay will follow.Name: The character's name
Familiar's Name: The familiar's name
Desired Familiar: A description of your familiar and its powers.Name: The character's name
Familiar's Name: The familiar's name
Desired Familiar: A description of your familiar and its powers.
Please bear in mind while hosting a familiar, or aiming to achieve one:
- To apply for a familiar, please make a separate thread so that your trial can be held in a separate thread.
- Familiars cannot be large predators. (e.i. dragons, t-rexs, Fenris wolves, large herbivores, etc.) The best way to keep in height range, is having a familiar smaller than your character.
- Members can, and sometimes will, have a familiar disapproved. Overpowered familiars will not be tolerated.
- To gain your familiar, you must gain success through a mental or physical trial with an illusion counterpart of said familiar. Trials will be handed out by Scrimpy and iTehSoupi accordingly.
- Mental trials are, obviously, emotionally and mentally based. There is no physical fighting.
- Physical trials are exactly like fights, and follow all fighting/challenging rules.
- Familiars can die. Keep them safe. You are only allowed one per character. Otherwise, they live as long as your character does regardless of their species life span.
- When a familiar does die, your character is losing an extension of their conscience. They will be extremely distraught, no matter who they are or how their personality plays out. A literal part of them has died.
- When using a familiar in a fight, their attacks count towards 1 attack for your character. Familiars dodges are also counted in dodges. Tred carefully!
