[li] Q: Is this site just fantasy? Or can we have realistic horses as well?
A Aeon accepts both realistic and fantasy horses! :)
[/li][li] Q: How crazy can I make my horse?
A: We want everyone to have creative freedom on Aeon; however, we ask that your characters are not rainbow farts like McSugarbear in the corner. Keep them classy. Additionally, all equines come with no items, including braids or dreads. Those can be purchased here and here.
[/li][li]Q: How did horses from Earth come to Aeon?
A: The Rift tends to be only constantly open in the following places. In those places, equines in those area might very well know of the portal.
- The Bermuda Triangle
- Aurora Borealis
- Grand Canyon
- California Rift
- Nazca Lines
- Pyramids of Egypt/Sphinx
- Amazon
- Stonehenge
- Easter Island Heads
- Mediterranean Atlantis
- Stone Spheres of Costa Rica
Outside of these specific places, the Rift will rarely go haywire and create a temporary portal in a random place on Earth for a very short time.
[/li][li] Q: What elements can I choose under the elemental class, exactly?
A: Any "element" you can think of! Some may be harder than others due to the environment, so keep that in mind. Some are: fire, water, earth (not to be confused with plants), air, aether, light, metal, electricity, darkness, ice, plants (not to be confused with earth), poison/venom, and weather. Feel free to introduce your own element!
[/li][li] Q: My character looks a lot like another one/Another character looks a lot like mine! Can you make them change it?
A: This all depends. We, the staff of Aeon, will attempt to catch any copies or close to copies of horses as we go through. However, please do not think that we can withhold the appearance of every single character on this site. Its not necessarily our responsibility to make sure that characters aren't the same, especially if doll makers (such as DollDivine's Fantasy Horse Maker) was involved. We apologize for this inconvenience.
[/li][li]Q: Can I make my horse any height I want?
A: Simply put, no. While we are a fantasy horse site, all our horses are based upon real breeds. We would prefer if horses stayed within their realistic height bounds. In most cases, we will be very lenient about heights if they are slightly above or below the standard accepted for that breed; however, if someone tries to create an arabian character that is 17 hands, or even an arabian-draft mix that is 17 hands, we will tell you change your character's height accordingly.
[/li][li]Q: Why can't I name my character after or base my character on a God?
A: For now, the answer is that you simply cannot. The staff of Aeon are working on a top secret project that requires no horse to have the name of or be based off of a god from mythology. However, basing a character off of Titans, such as Katie's "Atlas" is fine.
[/li][li]Q: Why can't I base my horse off of some godly horse?
A: For the same reasons mentioned above, we have a plot in the works that involve the Gods and their horses. C:
[/li][li]Q: WTF?! Why is Scrimpy running around with a horse based off of Sleipnir??? That's unfair?! D<
A: In defense of myself, I created Jean-Paul before the overall plot was thought up and finalized. As he was already in play when the formal plot was decided, he could not be changed. :| But if you want a six or eight-legged horse based off of Norse myth, talk to me. Jean-Paul is always willing to create a spider babeh.

[/li][li]Q: How does my character's magic level increase?
A: For regular characters, their magic level will increase one level for every ten posts with that particular character. For an Aeonian horse, their magic skills will increase every eight posts for that character. Half Aeonians increase every 9 posts. Those posts do not have to include them using their magic. They may just be plain posts. Gossip posts do not count. We merely ask you to keep track of your own posts for each character - it's easy if you add it to the log.
[/li][li]Q: Why do you make it complicated and relate post count for each character to their magic level? Why not just have one magic level?
A: The system is designed for several reasons. The first and foremost being that we do not want newly created character being all-powerful. Like most things in life, you only get better the more you practice--or in this case post. Secondly, we have different tiers to only further define that particular magic class. Thirdly, regarding fights and challenges, your character's magic power will be based off the number of posts. This makes for an easy way to judge who is the true winner of a fight or challenge involving magic.
[/li][li] Q: How do I become a clan chief?
A: Clan chiefs have a lot of responsibility, and clans cannot be without one at any long period of time. Depending on circumstances, you'll either audition for the spot, receive the spot from another member, or you'll have to challenge for it. In some circumstances, if a chief is killed/missing, the beta takes its place.
[/li][li]Q: When can I challenge?
A: You can challenge at any moment! If you want to challenge, feel free to challenge!
[/li][li]Q: Whats the deal with the seasons? Whats Greenstime, Stormscome, Stormstime, and Greenscome?
A: Aeon is a tropical location - therefore it does not have an actual autumn or an actual spring. Research has shown there are only two seasons for tropical areas, however to accommodate to seasons for horse aging, we've developed four seasons of Aeon. Greenstime is Summer, Stormscome is Fall, Stormstime is Winter, and Greenscome is Spring. Please remember that there is no snowfall in Aeon, and the foliage does not change color.
[/li][li] Q: How is "influence" determined in the lands? And what is it?
A: Obviously the clans will have "influence" in other lands - this merely states that the land is predominantly visited or frequented by that clan's members, and therefore, in a way, "dominate" that territory. If its a neutral land, then it is labeled with no influence. So, if you want your clan to have influence over a certain land, you simply have to role play your member of that clan in that terrain, hoping it will shift the land's influence in the clans favor.
[/li][li]Q: Can I roleplay predators?
A: Yes, roleplayers may roleplay the smaller predators in their threads because these creatures are generally not fatal to the equine characters of Aeon. However, larger predators including but limited to dragons, dinosaurs, wyverns, etc... cannot be roleplayed by players. Randomly, "Nature" will post in a random thread that someone has had an encounter with one of these supremely dangerous creatures! Oh my!
III - Favor and Items
[/li][li]Q: Where can I buy items for my character?
A: Items can be bought in two different locations. Each location has its own unique items. There is the Griffons and the Gargoyles.
[/li][li]Q: How can I get favor?
A: You earn 5 favor per every post you make in character. Additionally, we have an advertising shard earning system in place 24/7 for those looking to get extra favor.
[/li][li]Q: What is the deal with karma?
A: Buy giving a karma point, you are giving that particular player a free 10 favor! We encourage players to give favor to others. It makes obtaining items or graphics much easier![/sub]
