The small mammal cried out as it skidded across the cooled lava. The mammal was bleed profusely as it tripped and slipped in an attempt to stand and flee its attacker. An eerie sound of wind being forced in a certain direction hit the mammal's ears, making it freak out all the more, its tiny hooves limb slipping between obsidian rocks and breaking the limb effectively. The flap of wings was heard again as the animal shrieked in pain once again. Large hooves descended upon the deer, crushing its ribcage. Hellbane stood triumphantly above his victim, its blood stained his large hooves as the huge wings that shot out from his back flared out. Though the holes within them did not allow any flying, he could go short distances and he had done so to catch his meal. Bane tossed his large skull, his large horns glimmering in the sun as he flapped his wings. This won't keep me for long.. He thought to himself as his crimson and black orbs looked down, the action caused his fragile pupils to shatter and a grunt issued from the stag. Blood oozed from his orbs as pain laced through his skull.
Bane opened his eyes then, to only see smudges and jagged ends to his vision. He had unusual eyes. Well, crap. He shook his head slightly and dipped his nape down. His kissers parted to reveal elongated canines. His wings folded into his sides as he ripped into the hindquarters of the deer. He pulled back with the force of a pick up truck, tearing the muscle and sinew quite easily. Blood oozed down his throat, soaking his parched tissue. A satisfied groan escaped him without his jurisdiction. Bane had long since turned to cannibalism, though he knew eating this poor deer wasn't cannibalism. He simply liked to eat on others for snacks. He had no idea why but it seemed to sate his hunger a bit more. The meat of the poor soul slipped down his throat. He flicked his three odd tails, the lights on the tips of his abnormal tails were dim in the sunlight. Broken orbs stared out blindly up at the volcano meters away from him.
He pinned his auds at the uneasy feeling the towering mountain gave him and he turned back around to his meal, ripping off more flesh. After a few more moments, he was finished with his meal. His gigantic wings flapped in the oxygen around him as he began his motion again. Now to find something else to snack on. He said, shaking his frame and moving into a trot.
Moments later, his long strides brought him to the top of the volcano. He peered down into the steaming mountain, his black face immediately became a little too hot for comfort and he backed away. That wouldn't be a pleasant drop He rose an eyebrow at the drop into the molten lava below, his tails swaying slightly. By now, his pupils were solid again and he could see clearly. His crimson orbs looked out over the lands, his hooves carrying him along the rim of the volcano. There was a world worth conquering out there. No humans to interfere or test on him. He grinned at the prospect. His parents had always told him of the two-leggers. How they were to never be trusted. He bared his teeth at the lands of Aeon. Trees rustled somewhere in Thalmic land, a Tyrannosaurus Rex was on the move. He flapped his wings again, happy to be out of its range.

THOUGHTS: 52534b SPEECH: 855d91
I was beginning to feel increasingly dissatisfied with the ‘selection’ that my predecessor had chosen for the Loxacin clan. The mares he had chosen were hardly ever around, and on top of it I had yet to see any exhibits of their power. Notus was the only redeemable choice Azazel seemed to have made (aside from myself, of course) to join the clan. Looks like the former chief was not nearly as picky as Loxacin is proclaimed to be. ’That will most certainly change…’ I thought to myself as I scoured the earth below me for any signs of an interesting equine.
After the battle with Grimoire Heart, the petite vixen had earned a whole new level of respect from me, and I grew to accept that she was nothing like the silver queen I knew in my previous life. Yet it was an eye opener to see her powerful capabilities and to realize that my own clan was…lacking. It was rather pathetic to think about actually, and embarrassed me to let the clan dwindle and only consist of whatever Azazel could scrape up. Oh no, I would not allow such a thing to happen. I would extend my offers of a home within Loxacin to those with the utmost potential, magical or non-magical. Though…a power or two would most certainly aid in convincing me to let them join. However if magic was not a possibly, I could be persuaded in other ways, but it would be difficult.
My left wing began to grow tiresome from my flight, now that it was missing a few feathers from the fight with Grimoire, and I began my graceful descent to the earth. Diamond hard, pearly hooves clattered against a smooth plain of cooled lava, the only noise alerting my presence. After a few quick stretches, I tucked the massive, black appendages close to my body. A high pitched squeal caught me off guard, auds immediately pricking to high alert for the source of the surprising sound. Again, the terrified cry came, but soon…It was nothing but silence. Why in the hell I was curious about such a thing was beyond me, yet I found myself wandering in search of the noise until a rather large creature appeared in the distance.
Ever cautious, I watched the beast for a few moments as he tucked his horned head to the earth, ripping at some sort of carcass before having his fill and wandering up the mountainous side of the volcano. He was quite impressive in appearance, and obviously not afraid to make a kill. However, I did question his level of intellect as he peered into the molten center of the Volcano before circling the rim. With a light shake of my head, I started after him at a leisurely walk, talking my time to catch up with him. I was curious to meet this stallion, and to see just how he ticked. I was so used to watching others from a distance to learn all about them, but now that my powers of Foresight had grown to be among the strongest of all those gifted with foresight in the land, I had little need to keep my distance. Recently, I had also gone to the Griffon’s and requested their powerful potion, essence of magicka. Since then, I had been ever so slowly learning the skills of Psionics. I could hardly do anything more than move a small pebble at the moment, but it certainly didn’t face me. After all, there was a time with my powers of Foresight where all I could see was a few seconds prior to the current moment…And now I could read as far back as past lives. All I needed was to practice and exercise my magic, of course.
There’s no way the brute could have been unaware of my arrival, with the steady ‘clacking’ of my hooves on the hardened molten rock. There was no sense in trying to sneak up on him, and instead I approached the stallion with my crown held with pride. I made sure to place him between myself and the volcano’s edge, avoiding placing myself too close into harm’s way. ”Good afternoon, don’t often see strangers around the Volcano…Much less so close to it…”

His tails swayed back and forth slowly. A teasing manner for anything that may come up behind him. The stallion stood, large and tall at the edge of the volcano. Why he had come up here, he'd never know. It was a spur of the moment thing, something he decided on last minute. That was rare for the large brute. He normally didn't just go somewhere. He knew where he was going and where he wanted to go. But this wasn't where he had intended. The volcano had given him the shivers moments ago and yet here he was, a God. It seemed. The trees stopped swaying and birds began flying again. He bared his teeth at them. They were free. They could fly. He couldn't. His red orbs glared out at the chirping and cawing birds. He snorted half-heartedly an looked down at his torn leathery wings. He could not remember the last time he had flown. He grunted and turned back to his staring out at the lands.
Despite the many clans that dotted the landscape, he hadn't come across anything that had him yearning to join one. Be it the Gastci with their chieftan Adelaine Dresner or Selisona with Grimoire Heart. Neither of them had please him in any way. Then there was the Thalmic with Thanatos as their lead. A stallion, Bane was sure he'd butt heads there. Finally there was Loxican with the newly appointed Beautiful Disaster. He hadn't seen many of the equines of Aeon and all the chiefs were among the ranks. He had caught glimpses of Adelaine Dresner in her lands, speaking to one they called Sanguine. But Bane wasn't one that liked much company either, so perhaps that was the real reason he wasn't interested in joining a herd.
Clicking came from behind him and the stag turned sharply, his large wings shooting up in a threatening manner, making a large rippling sound much like a cape would as he thrust them out. He turned on a dime, his red hued frame facing the intruder. His eyes had shattered again in his quick movements, leaving his vision blurry and jagged. He could make out another equine, either one that was overweight or had wings. He couldn't tell. It was a mare judging by her voice. He tilted his head to listen a bit better. " The real mystery is why would one follow a stranger to the top of a volcano? Death at every corner...Sounds a bit risky to me. " His voice was gruff but held knowledge and a bit of charm to it. His tails swayed again, one of the long tendril like tails curled around his left hindleg, it's light a bit brighter beneath his hulking frame.

THOUGHTS: 52534b SPEECH: 855d91
My muscles tensed just slightly as the stallion abruptly turned around, fanning out his wings like a vampire would spread his cape. Once the sudden movement ceased, my muscles relaxed, and now that he was turned around I could see him better. My own golden optics narrowed as they met with his own, as though he was trying to see me but…couldn’t quite focus on me yet. There was something…odd, about his orbs and I couldn’t place it. While I studied him, my auds flicked forward to catch his words while I read glimpses of his history. My powers of foresight were certainly coming in handy nowadays, and by the time my visions ceased the hellish beast had finished speaking. Everything I had seen was over within a matter of seconds, hardly even noticeable as I had only caught a glimpse now and then. It was pretty easy to sum up, the stallion had a fairly…gruesome past.
Death was prominent for him, and it seemed to be usually caused by the brute, but this was not something that I directly feared. His torn wings left him without flight, his monstrous size would limit his speed, I would be able to escape to an open Volcanic plain with ease should he choose to attack. Yet, I had other plans than to pick a fight with this brute…Despite a few weaknesses, his past did show that he had plenty of skills that would be of great use to Loxacin. A sly smile pulled at my lips as I carefully approached him, minding to keep a safe enough distance so as not to push my luck. “I’m not concerned about such things, I am no stranger to the cold kiss of death. And as for being risky, taking risks is a part of life, wouldn’t you agree? I’m fairly certain I can take care of myself.” My last comment was accompanied by a light, amused chuckle.
Tossing my crown to adjust my long forelock so I could better see his features, I politely dipped my crown to the demon. My ivory horn never titled away from him however. I was not foolish enough to lose my wits and think myself as cocky enough to get on this stallion’s bad side so soon. “It’s Hellbane, is it not?” I asked, lifting my crown once more to look up at the larger stallion, meeting his gaze. “Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Beautiful Disaster, Chief of Loxacin.” My feathers began to ruffle in passing breeze, and I shifted my wings so they were not so tightly pinned against my barrel.
