Today I had to go to the ER because my lungs and asthma have been giving me wicked issues since last Friday. It started with inhaling pollen and other stuff since I was outside most of the day, doing science projects and then coming home to work outside. We live in rural Georgia, where there's crops galore, and especially at my own house. We grow corn, sugar cane, ground crops, and we also raise goats and chickens... not a lovely place for someone with severe asthma like myself. Anyways, I started coughing really bad, and whenever I cough the airways in my lungs begin to swell and eventually when they swell enough they get mucus running through them (this is when I start having an asthma attack) and so I've been dying for air since then. And Saturday night, my dad bitched his way into making me go down to the field with him to burn the cane shucks to fertilize the soil, and the smoke was awful, not to mention it being freezing that night. So, when I got to the ER today, they done some x-rays and gave me a steroids shot in my bum and prescribed me some steroid pills (yay for getting fatter!) and so I'm spending the next few days trying to recover. I'm still wheezing, and the bottom half of my lungs still aren't opening back up, but it's a lot better than it's been in days. So I hope you'll all forgive me for not being able to post for the rest of this week or so. If I feel like it, I may try to stop by the c-box. Thanks. XOXO.
