[/li][li] Prospective members will undergo a trial, designed and overseen by the Chief or a Beta. If the examiner deems them worthy, they will be welcomed into the clan; if not, they must wait until the following season to re-attempt a trial.
- If a Beta was the overseer for the trial, then the Chief may overrule their decision.
[/li][li] All members must be present if a clan meeting is called by the Chief. Failure to arrive in a timely manner (or at all) can and will be punished.
[/li][li] New laws and amendments will be presented by the Chief, advised by the Betas and Omegas. The new law or amendment may be vetoed by a 2/3 vote of all clan members save the Chief.[/li][/ul]
Border Control
- The borders of Selisona will be patrolled by the Chief, Betas, and Soldiers, but are open to peaceful visitors.
- Visitors to the Peninsula may be subject to constant surveillance, and are expected to abide by all of its laws. Visitors who violate the law will be punished more severely than clan members, particularly in cases involving aggression towards clan members or damage to resources.
- Clan members may come and go as they please, although the clan's protection is limited outside its borders. The majority of an individual's time should be spent within clan territory, to ensure their safety and to promote close relationships with clansmen. Unaccounted-for, extended absences are frowned upon and can be punished.
Challenging & Internal Dispute
- Fighting between clan members is allowed only for training and/or recreation, or if a formal challenge has been issued. Other disputes or disagreements should be mediated by the Beta Mare, or the Chief if necessary. Infighting without mediation is strictly prohibited.
- Even with allowed fighting as stated above, no one may kill or permanently incapacitate their opponent. Such instances will be regarded as murder or assault, and perpetrators will be punished accordingly.
- Challenges for higher rank will be overseen by the Chief.

[/li][li] Acts of violence, outside of permitted fighting, perpetrated by one clan member onto another is strictly forbidden. This includes but is not limited to assault and battery, murder, abuse, and neglect.
- Malicious use of magic against another clan member, such as manipulating will, abuse of illusions, or reanimating the honored dead, is also forbidden under this law.
In Times of War
- Relations with other clans will be classified as Peaceful, Tense, Hostile, or War. If Selisona is declared to be at war with one or more clans, the following laws go into effect.
- All able-bodied stallions age 3 or older will be drafted and trained as a Soldier. Able-bodied mares age 3 or older who are not in foal may also become a Soldier if they choose to.
- Visitors from clans classified as Hostile or an enemy of war will be forbidden from entering Selisona territory. Incursions will be viewed as invasion and dealt with accordingly.
- Clan members must notify the Chief, a Beta, or an Omega if they wish to leave clan territory. All individuals must be accounted for at all times, and each must return to the Peninsula before sundown.
- Clan members are strictly forbidden from fraternizing with any member of a clan declared to be Hostile or an enemy of war. Those who do will be subject to severe punishment.
Punishment
- Punishment for violating the law may include physical or verbal reproach, house arrest within the clan territory, demotion, exile, or even death. The severity of the punishment depends on the crime, and will be determined by the Chief or an appointed Beta on a case-by-case basis.
- Those who are aware of a violation of the law, but do not report it to the Chief or a Beta, will be punished as well.
- Any individual that has been formally exiled will be killed on sight if they return to clan territory. Clan members will also be forbidden from interacting with exiled individuals.
