Solis Antonia
[/justify]The deep royal purple color of her coat stood out in contrast to the greenery of the warm, humid forest around her. What made her stand out in an even starker contrast was the mother-of-pearl sheen to her coat. With the sun that filtered through the canopy over her head, flecks of sun caused the strange aspect to Solis’s coat gleam. There was no doubt in the mare’s mind that the shine would attract attention, though she didn’t mind. Regardless if it was wanted or not, she’d much rather have some sort of company than continue tarrying away on her own. She had been alone for long enough now; since the death of her elderly and sick father. It was about time to work her way back into the civilized world...And where else to start?
With a turn of her head, the mare’s sea foam green eyes took great care in noting r surroundings. There was not much of significance around her. A great number of trees, which was only natural given the place she was in, all healthy and green upon a brief preliminary observation. All of the vegetation here was healthy upon Solis’s first observation. The humidity and warmth were the biggest factors, as well as any possible rainfall. The deep purple mare wondered idly when the last rainfall had occurred and when the next one would come. Most smells were weak, indicating that it had rained rather recently. She paused in her meandering to think critically for a moment, giving deeper thought. If the smells were weak, that meant she was most likely alone. The idea of being alone was mildly disappointing, but spurred her back into moving. With a shake of her head, ignoring the honey blonde curls that twisted around her opalescent horn, she picked up a brisk pace once more.
She ignored the slight tugs as her tail caught on low branches and fallen twigs, trying to squash the minor feeling of annoyance. Of all things to be burdened with, she had to have a thicker mane and tail that was full of curls – thus easily snagged on the most mundane of things. The mare let out a irritated huff at the thought, unable to resist the urge to scowl. Eventually the distant sound of moving water reached her ears, catching her attention quickly. With a small change in direction, she found it after a short period of time. Lowering her tan and purple muzzle to the cool water, she greedily drank in an attempt to help cool her slightly heated body. Languishing in the cooling effect of the water, Solis let her eyes slide shut for a moment. Upon reopening them, a frown returned. It was much too quiet here; too lonely. Something had to change.
