NICKNAME(S)
GENDER
AGE
BREED
HEIGHT
APPEARANCE- Build: Jean-Paul is an exceptionally tall Aeonian horse. His own parents were only of average height, making most wonder if he is truly a purebred Aeonian Horse. Yet, he does not appear to be all legs. No, Jean-Paul has the perfect proportions for his breed. Thus, he appears as an Aeonian Horse on a larger scale. The stallion is muscular and heavier than most of his breed due to his extreme height. He appears masculine and rugged, but not overbearing like draft horses.
- Unique Features: Jean-Paul is known as "Sleipnir" because of his eight legs. He was born with an extra set of front and hind legs. While to most foals this would be fatal, he was luckily born so that it was anatomically possible for him to still be able to function. However, he is much slower than other horses when he canters. Physically, he cannot gallop. He also sports an incredibly sleek and sturdy horn. The horn appears fragile, but alas, his horn is composed of red diamonds. This makes his horn very sturdy and deadly.
- Coloring: The stallion is originally a bloody bay, but due to genetics, his heterogenous gray genes hide the beautiful color. Unlike most grays that fade out to winter skies, he has remained a dark gray on a rainy spring day with hints of bay. His mane and tail have remained black and ominous. Jean-Paul sports two sock on his right, forelegs.
- Eyes: Jean-Paul's eyes match the same ruby color as his diamond horn. Against his coat, they appear vicious and cruel. However, his right eye is partially clouded with a veil of white from injuries.
- Scars: He has not live without sustaining some injuries. During his younger years, he often sparred with other males to compete for positions within the clans. During one such fight, part of his right lip was removed. It exposes part of his teeth to the air at all time. The long, thin scar stretches along his face and over his right eye. He has various nicks and scraps over his body.

PERSONALITY- Base of Personality from here: ISTJ
Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.
- Jean-Paul is described as most by his introverted nature. Being severely bullied as a foal left its mark on this stallion. He remains a largely quiet individual, often too serious for his own good. A good hearted joke can be easily taken the wrong way in his mind. By default, he believes everyone is out to bully him still. This created a hard outer shell, but internally he is very sensitive to comments. But most would not know this because of his intimidating nature and permanent frown. At first glance, he would be perceived as a horse with a bad attitude. He is skeptical and mistrustful of most, asking too many questions. Sometimes he is too blunt with his words, but he does not intend to hurt anyone with them.
In fact, he is quiet the gentle giant behind the fierce, scarred face. He is very empathetic for those like him, the misfit monsters. He becomes protective, almost possessive. For them, he is greatly empathic for their situation. Some equines would go as far as to say he is biased towards them, and carries a chip on his shoulder for those not like him. That would not be entirely untrue. Jean-Paul is much harder on "normal" equines than monstrosities. This is only further proof the "wounds" from his childhood have shaped him. Some of his better qualities have emerged from that, such as his keep intelligence, adaptability, and hard-working nature. Through his experiences, he wishes to live a mostly peaceful but exciting life. To achieve that, Jean-Paul has established goals and adheres to traditions.
However, as seen already, Jean-Paul also suffered negative side effects. He does become easily frustrated with others. He suffers from a violent streak. His violent streak is mostly physically. He cannot vent through talking, and only taking his frustration out physically has helped. He does try to curve his violence to be towards only plants, but on occasion he is known for becoming "rough" with others. Let the Gods forbid, anyone try to taunt him or threaten his "brother" Roc or half-sister Nues. Under the right circumstances, Jean-Paul would endorse murder or even resort to murder.

HISTORY[/i] His mother went into labor during twilight on Selisona soil after a blistering day. The labor had been intense, draining her physically and emotionally. When the sun began to rise again, the eldest mare sought out to find the missing soon-to-be-mother. With the help of magic, the elder mare was able to pull Jean-Paul from his mother's womb. The elder mare was astonished at the monster that had been born. Even Amarante was appalled. His mother debated whether to even nurse him because of his low survival rate. After consulting the elder mare, the two decided to at least give him a chance.
[li] He proved to be an exceptionally clumsy colt, hardly able to stand, much less walk or even trot on his own. Jean-Paul became an easy target for the other foals. To avoid being singled out, he clung to his mother constantly. To his dismay, this only made the bullying worse when he was separated from his mother.
[/li][li]
Year One: Under the old chief, Bartomeu, he was forced out of the herd after being weaned. Bartomeu reasoned that the herd was left exposed to predators because of Jean-Paul's vulnerability. Amarante took Jean-Paul to meet his father, Telfor, for the first time in Thalmic. He was real received in Thalmic.
[/li][li] Quickly a young palomino filly, Llúcia, and sorrel pegasi colt, Eloi, befriended them. Together they romped around the lands. Jean-Paul's confidence began to grow with his friends and father's care.
[/li][li]
Year Two: Jean-Paul was slowly mastering his excessive legs. His rapid growth spurts hindered the process. He was soon standing hands above his friends as a giant among foals. Often visitors would mistake him for an grown up because of his height.
[/li][li] Telfor spent time with his son, training him up as a fellow illusionist. He and his father often went back to Selisona to visit his mother. Yet, when it became known she had formally taken another mate, Telfor stopped going with his son to visit.
[/li][li] He continued to be bullied by the other foals and members in Selisona.
[/li][li]
Year Three: The colt mastered his legs. Woohoo!
[/li][li] He began to develop a crush on Llúcia, especially as her feminine qualities began to bloom. Eloi had also noticed. The two teenagers began to smash heads together, arguing and competing viciously for Llúcia's attention. Jean-Paul's violent streak began to show through.
[/li][li] Members within Thalmic watched as Jean-Paul became increasing frustrated at everything. He appeared to be permanently mad at the world.
[/li][li] As winter fell over Thalmic, Jean-Paul was with his friends near the shore, splashing lightly in the water. Jean-Paul and Eloi began to once again rough house. They went deeper and deeper into the water. With a good push from Eloi, Jean-Paul was in deep water. He thrashed about frantically, an Eloi thought this was only further "play." Eloi continued to push him under the water and farther away from the shore. Unable to grab a breath, Jean-Paul took in a large gulp of muddy water. Llúcia from the shore rushed into the water once she saw how Jean-Paul was struggling. Eloi stopped and between the two of them, brought Jean-Paul back to shore. He recovered physically from the experience, but mentally he is terrified of the water.
[/li][li]
Year Four: The eight-legged colt became a stallion. At the same time, Eloi also became a stallion. The intensity of the rivalry increased, driving Llúcia away from both of them.
[/li][li] Jean-Paul spoke to Llúcia in private one evening, asking about courting her. Llúcia turned him down and stated she had always had a crush on Eloi. He told her that Eloi also had feelings for her. She was elated to hear this news, but the mare also felt for her hurting friend.
[/li][li] Some months later, Jean-Paul decided to leave Thalmic on good terms. He could not continue to lead their peaceful life. He yearned for adventure and war.
[/li][li]
Year Five: Jean-Paul spent most of this year travelling by himself. The more he was out in the world, the more he realized how odd other creatures looked at him. None of them appeared to accept them.
[/li][li] Finally, his anger at society came to a head. He sought out the Loxacin because through them he would be able to show the rest of them that he was not some freak. By proving his strength and ferocity to them, Jean-Paul was accepted.
[/li][li] He began to fiercely spar with the other stallions, slowly building up his combat skills.
[/li][li]
Year Six: He challenged for the position of Omega, but Jean-Paul lost to the stallion. However, for his efforts, he was promoted to the rank of soldier.
[/li][li] He continued to spar with others. During this time, he gained his famous scar.
[/li][li] After obtaining said scar, Jean-Paul returned to visit his mother. She quickly condemned his way of life, fearing for his life like any mother. The two bickered, and in the end, Jean-Paul left furiously. He swore not see his mother again.
[/li][li]
Year Seven: During his stay with the Loxacin, his violent behavior grew worse and worse. The chief of the Loxacin used him, like the other deranged stallions, to highlight this behavior.
[/li][li] Jean-Paul would often go out and torment Gascti members.
[/li][li] Telfor grew increasingly sick during this year. Jean-Paul would visit his father when possible. Telfor told him how he was disappointed in his son for not choosing a life that made him happy. Jean-Paul quickly lashed out that he was happy. Telfor merely laughed in his face, but calmly answered that all he wanted was for his son to be happy and find his place in the world. His son continued to angrily yell at his father, stating he had no place in the world as a freak of nature. Yet again, Telfor smiled saying, "Stop victimizing yourself. If you have no home, then you make one for yourself."
[/li][li] Jean-Paul left his father.
[/li][li] Some weeks later, his father passed away.
[/li][li]
Year Eight: Jean-Pauled listened to his father's advice. Again he challenged for the position of omega stallion in Loxacin. This time he successfully won.
[/li][li] He helped to organize and raid Gascti.
[/li][li] During the raid, he came across a colt. The colt, much like him, was a monster in his own right. He protected Roc Marc from other Loxacin soldiers.
[/li][li] Upon return, Jean-Paul was quickly criticized by the Loxacin chief for protecting something weak. He quickly retorted that Roc was exactly like him at that age. The stallion stated his own strength demonstrated that Roc would eventually become strong.
[/li][li] His mother grew ill after delivering a filly, Nues. Jean-Paul returned to see his new half-sister and ailing mother. While in Selisona, he and his mother repaired their relationship. During his summer stay in Selisona, Jean-Paul learned he was becoming quickly known as "The Monster." He did not necessarily like the title becoming bestowed upon him or the life he was leading.
[/li][li] After his mother passed, Jean-Paul returned in the fall to Loxacin. After talking to the leader, he and Roc left on fairly good terms. The duo returned to Selisona.
[/li][li]
Year Nine: He and Roc began to build a home for themselves in Selisona. Being well-versed and well received by the majority of the herds, excluding Gascti, Jean-Paul was seen as being an ambassador of sorts for the herd. Yet, it was known among herd members he had his eyes set on a higher prize, chief.
