As most of you guys know, I'm a senior in college and in my university's marching band. WELP. These two things decided to clash terribly this semester. Like, bad. I'm carrying a heavy load this semester between core classes, classes for my minor, and band. Class wise, I'm running ragged maintaining good grades in 5 classes. Very proud of myself for this feat, because it's a struggle during the marching season. I'm trying to raise my GPA for scholarships, because ya know. Broke college kid.
Band wise, there are lots of rumors circulating on campus that we might get sent to a big name bowl game (again) this year. We're currently due to play the division deciding game next Friday. If we win, we go to the championship game for our division AND a bowl game. So, extra stress. Bowl game wise, we're hearing rumors of Idaho, Hawaii (very unlikely), or Alabama. There are other bowl games we're predicted for, but it all hinges on how next Friday goes. Regardless, if the band does go to a bowl game, we are performing our Disney Fantasia show. This show took us nearly a month to perfect and we haven't performed it since the end of October. We'd only have a few days to re-set our drill work. This show is intense, so I'm freaking out a little over that.
Outside of academic stuff, I've been busy with personal stuff as well. I've been dating the most wonderful girl I could have asked for for a little over a month, but there was drama with that. (It's all resolved now, no worries!) But pretty much any free time I have outside of band and classes, I've been spending it with her. It's hard to find the free time outside of classes, work, and band for both of us (she's also a marcher), that we take any time we can get. I'm going home with her for Thanksgiving to meet her family, so yeah. More stress. lmao
ON THE PLUS SIDE! I landed my internship for next Spring at the county court house. I'll get to see all sorts of aspects to the Criminal Justice field, and it's a great opportunity for me. I'm excited. :3 I'll be working pretty much 8-5 Mon-Fri, as well as taking a class. I'm hoping that I'll have some more free time with the set up I've worked out.
I'm planning on making a come back to roleplaying when I go on winter break. I'm hoping that I'll be able to continue said come back into Spring. So for now, just work with me.
I love you guys and miss everyone. Just be patient with me, and you'll have your Mallory back! Even if I'll have significantly more grey hair. xD
