Everything leading up till now was a new experience for Morphine, her increasingly larger belly made the mare less than pleased with her current situation and she was more than ready for this pregnancy to be over and done with. Swollen ankles carried her to the place where she had officially reunited with Panzram and by the time she had arrived the labor pains which struck at her sides had become so excruciating she couldn’t even remember how she had gotten there in the first place. The night sky was gloomy and the air was growing uncomfortably humid. Greenscome evenings were warm enough as it was but when it mixed with the vixen’s sweat and blood it created its own tortuous sort of heat.
All at once she found herself staggering between some trees, her breathing had become shallow, nares flared, and her bodice began to drip with sweat. Sharp pains stabbed at her sides sending Morphine crashing to her knees not too far from the familiar river. She tried to focus on the tranquil sounds of the water but all she could think about was murdering Panzram for putting her through such anguish. Sighing heavily her instinct kicked in and she began to push, and push, and push some more. Ivories clenched and moaning the mare cried out. The pain was now unbearable and she began to think it would never stop…until it did. Morphine’s first child had been born. Breathing shakily for a few minutes she bent her neck back to clean off the little foal when labor pains took another jab at her sides. ”What the fu-?! A..Another one?!” Not getting a very good look at the first born her crown was thrown towards the ground again, unbearable pain returning.”Panzram!!” she screamed at the top of her lungs, wishing he was standing in front of her so she could rip out his god damn throat. She had never wanted to harm him so much. This was his entire fault, at least that’s how Morphine saw it anyways. Once more heaving sides pushed before the second and very unexpected foal lay on the ground. Morphine sat up her neck extending towards the second born taking a few moments to clean it off. She was able to get a better look at them both now… although she was still trying to wrap her mind around the fact there was two of them. The first born had a bit of a larger frame, which reminded her a lot of herself as a foal. It was black with a white snowcap blanket. The second born was bay with a very prominent appaloosa blanket covering its body from rump to neck ending just before it’s crown. The only thing the two seemed to have in common looks wise was the black and white tresses that were far from long. Nudging them both to encourage them to their feet she didn’t want to hang around here much longer.

Gods rarely intervened with the mortals. They couldn't see the Gods, anyways. There wasn't really a reason too - they went about their lives fairly easily without any assistance. Though, of course, Damu could not stand idly by when the mortals did need him. These foals were miraculously healthy, just bringing about his presence made their vitals beat strong. The god couldn't help but give the filly and colt a smile before fading off to his next birthing.

I wouldn't dare bother to approach the vixen while she was giving birth, rather I remained watchful in the shadows. Dark brown eyes kept a mindful look out for any signs that may put my little pet, or our offspring, in danger. Be it mutant or predator. My crown was held high, and I was filled with pride as I monitered how well Morphine was handling her first birthing. Sure she had the mouth of a sailor and probably wished me dead, but, as far as I knew, that was normal. Nothing out of the ordinary about that. Just as I was about to step out of the shadows after the birth of the first foal, I was stopped in my tracks by another desperate cry from Morphine. Another one? Twins? How...
Curiosly my auds pricked forward, narrowing my gaze on the trio as I speculated whether or not my children would even be alive. Though I had never had twins myself, I knew that generally, it did not go well during birth. When all had stilled, I cautiously stalked out of the shadows towards my small family. My expression was still as stern as ever, yet there was a barely noticable softness in my eyes as I looked down with relief to the squirming newborns. As Morphine encouraged them to rise, I gave my little pet a once over as well. Everyone was alive, healthy, and seemingly perfectly fine, and it brought a rare, sincere smile to my muzzle. My inspections were far from over though as I lowered my crown to meet the children Morphine had brought into this world.
A healthy colt of ebony, built similarly to his mother, yet was undeniably mine with his appaloosa snowcap. My nares flared as I imprinted on his scent, forever logging it away in my memory. He was a bit larger than the other newborn, understandably one twin is usually a larger size. Ah, yet another colt that carried my genes...At least this one was particularly striking in his coloring. As I turned my gaze to the little twin, I was taken back by surprise. A filly, a beautiful little filly who was most certainly my daughter. For a moment, I just stared at the petite little thing...She was so small, so fragile, so delicate. I had never had a filly before...To be honest, I wasn't sure quite what to do with a filly. But there she stood, and although she matched my coloring, she absolutely recieved her mother's beauty, and her dark eyes matched Morphine's.
Softly, I bumped noses with the little filly, quietly bonding with her in a way that I had never truly bonded with any of my offspring before. My first set of twins, my first daughter... Quickly, I pulled away from her and looked back towards my ghostly Morphine. My tough exterior had returned, yet I offered her a small smile. "Hopefully, you no longer wish to castrate me at this point...Well done, my pet...Well done. You've given me two things no one else ever has before, twins...and a daughter." My handsome grin returned, such an usual sight for me to smile so much. It would come as no surprise if one thought of me as delirious right now. 'Ah...now there's an idea...' "My dear phantom, usually I would not participate in things such as names, I would leave such up to the mother...However, I have a request for this one." My tone was strangely dark, the grin turning into a sinister smirk as I looked down upon the filly. "Deliria." I would not leave it up for debate, the dark tone daring Morphine to even attempt to deny the name I had given her. The colt, however, I would leave up to her.

Morphine sensed the dark king’s presence as he made himself visible, her gaze however did not stray from the two little foals before her. They were now a family; a concept that had always seemed so foreign to her. It was hard to take in all of the changes that had happened to the mare as of late but instead of being overwhelmed the mare felt a sense of relief wash over her, grateful that Panzram was here with them. Taking advantage of his company she gave her body just a few more moments to recuperate from all that it had just been through. Satisfied eyes watched, as Panzram interacted with her children.
The dark colt emitted a squeal while he rose to stand on wobbly legs. Crown tilted he looked over Panzram inquisitively. Stretching out his velvety muzzle towards empty space, he mimicked his fathers movements, charcoal orbs watching as his father interacted with his little sister It wasn’t long before he quickly turned his attention towards his mother who was now beginning to stand herself. Before Morphine knew it the little colt had begun to nurse and what an interesting feeling it was. Once he had his fill he turned his attention back towards his twin walking shakily over towards her urging her to nurse as well.
”I’m honored that I am the one to give them to you. You have given me two things no one else had given me as well...” The moon washed vixen looked down at her children with pride in her eyes as her voice trailed off. The foals were beautiful, mirrors of both Panzram and herself. Tired orbs now traced over Panzram, smiling back at him softly as he made a request to name the filly. The phantom nodded in compliance, quite liking the name herself. “Mmm…that is a wonderful name m’love. I think that the colt shall be named Rais.” Just like that her mind was set and so the two were named.
She watched in silence as the two twins interacted with each other, so unsteadily on their feet. She could see they were both fighters, and strong. Although the filly was smaller there was a fiery passion in both of them that one could see as clear as day. They were perfect in every single way and if anyone tried to tell Morphine otherwise she would rip out their throat.

I mulled the name over in my mind for a moment before giving a final nod of approval. It was a suitable name, and much more pleasing that my last son. ‘Oz’. Who the hell gives their kid the name Oz? I’m far from perfect, but I’ll be damned if that’s not the weirdest name for a child of mine yet. No, Rais was a strong name and one that he could grow to be proud of, not that I really would have even considered denying Morphine the right to name her child. A single brow raised as I watched my son mimic my moves, fighting the urge to smirk. The filly on the other hand, was more fascinated by her brother than either myself or Morphine.
Wide eyes watched as the colt stood up before her, tilting her crown to the side with curiousity and finally gaining the courage to rise once he returned to her side after nursing. For a second, she was resistant, and actually snapped at her twin’s ear, trying to tug at it. Once she was good and ready, she stood up on shaky legs before wobbling over to Morphine to nurse.‘She’s going to be a handful…Already defying anything anyone tells her.’ To top it all off, Deliria paused for a moment, growing eerily quiet with her head still poking underneath Morphine’s belly. I had never seen a filly stand so still before, hardly even flicking her tail. How I wished I could see her expression, and a moment later I realized that she must have been contemplating something right before she tried to bite Morphine’s underbelly. Auds pinned back, wary of how Morphine would react, but my lips pursed to resist giving a chuckle. It couldn’t have hurt, given she would hardly have anything for teeth at the moment…But, hell…I had to give her credit for having the gall to actually think about it before hand and still bite.
“It’s not going to be easy with these two…” Finally I stepped forward to reprimand Deliria, giving her a sharp little bite on her flank that startled her. With a squeal she dashed out of from underneath Morphine, rushing to hide behind Rais while looking up at me with a playful yet knowing look. Her attention was soon entirely on Rais however, now testing him as she attempted to pull at his short little mane, then dash away, rush forward to nip, then dash away once more.
